I want to.....

I like dove hunting. If we had decent size deer out here, I'd hunt them. I've got a perfectly good deer rifle sitting in the safe, unused!

Stop The Presses!

Call the NRA...

I prefer my Columbian coffee beans free range.

None of that foldgers crystals for me.

I love grilling wild game, especially quail. :bird:

Deer is too much work and usually involves being cold. Not a good combo in my lazy mind.:)

You will have to come out next dove season. Would be interesting hunting company.

I hunt more than just birds. I do Deer, Squirrels, and ferrel hogs. Is always a lot of fun.

I guess people that grow up in the south are just wimps when it comes to cold weather.

This doesn't explain what it is, but it looks like it is only in Europe.

I'm not 100% sure but I think biological meat is Free Range meat.

For me I get hit double by PETA, not only to I now have snakes but I have American Staffordshire Terriers which are considered Pitbulls. And Peta thinks they are good for nothing and should be put down. Me I beg to differ. My guys are very loving and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Although I would never put an animals life above most humans. There are some people out there that I can honestly say I would take my dogs over them in a heart beat.

I totally agree with you Jean...There are some people in the world that are worth no more than the dirt under my feet. I have 5 dogs at home, one Dalmation, and 5 mutts. 1 of the Mutts is mine, and is smarter than some people that I know personally. All of our dogs are pretty much free roaming animals. They hunt food on their own, but still get fed by us. We live on a 150 acre Farm, and I think that the dogs that we have, are just as suited to wild life as some of Cyotes that we have in the area.

we wouldnt be the evolved speices we are today if we didnt eat meat.

But... To me, It was wrong of us to make these animals dependant on humans, We screwed up, and we as a human race will eventually pay for it. We will always be an influence to those creatures.
its wasnt right for us to take away what they had.
I know that aminals are happy living lives with us, but they have no idea what it was that their Ancestors had, or what it feels like not to be dependant on us. If they were intellegent enough to chose, what would they?
we are very selfish as a race. And someday we will regret it. I dont know what everyones relgious beliefs are, but it is possible that through evolution, we will one day loose our place as domiant organisms. Who will be the pet then?

hiya Cora :wavey:

the bible tells us that God created wild animals AND domestic animals.........
man was to take care of them........or use them as a sacrifice
man was given permission to eat meat after the flood...............
God isn't wrong

thank you

I think she maybe refering to soy products. They make a large range of copy cat meats, hamburgers, bacon, sausage, chicken... etc

Biological meat is from animals who were able to roam free outside their whole lives. They don't get fed any chemicals to enchance their growth, not beeing overfed and even in winter the animals have large stables to live in. It's more expensive but the animal led a better live due to that.
I also eat vegitarian meat sometimes. Though often it's not very tasty, but healty. To much meat is bad for you anyway. Not even considering all the chemicals they put into it even after the animal in question is slaughterd.

Noone is saying god is wrong. (Personally i don't believe in god but that's beside the question). I doubt god would approve cruelty however.

Do I think its wrong to keep pets? No, I think there are lots of animals that are better off with our help and care.

Like?

Amen to that :)

Jicin, Not sure why I am even responding to this, but every animal, be it bird, deer, Ferel Hog, or Squirrel, that I hunt, I process and eat. I have never shot an animal that I have not used.

You say that you buy and eat Biological food. How do you think this is brought to you? Answer: Hunters harvest the animal, bring killed animal to processing plant, and then taken to store from there. I am just skipping the middle man. I hunt, shoot, and process all animals on my own. A whole lot cheaper if you ask me. And, I eat Meat from these animals all year long.

As far as respecting/killing for pleasure...I do respect the animals. I don't litter or destroy wild land. I don't shoot an animal unless I know that I am going to use the meat. All I said was that if CAV came to my land to hunt with me, it would be nice company.

Well said pcar. I eat everything I hunt, and I certainly have a great respect for the animals I kill. I didn't just go to the market and buy it packaged, and just for information in general, most beef in the U.S. is raised on the range. I've worked for a friend who raises cattle for food, and they are left out on range until time to come in for slaughter. I'm not sure I agree with the idea that all animals would be happier free. It's a brutal world out there, and nature is neither kind nor fair. Animals die, starve, become crippled, diseased and all other manner of horrible and slow ways of dying. At least my dog or cat will have the benenfit of veterinary care, and a peaceful and dignified death when the time comes. I wish I had the care my dogs, cats, snakes and horses have. They are well treated.

Ahhh, so biological meat is organic meat. I was gonna say...cause to me all meat is biological (seeing as it has come from a living thing). Don't even get me started on vegetarian 'meat'. I mean what's the point of eating something made to look and taste like meat when you are so against eating meat in the first place?? Anyway....Pcar...what does squirrel taste like? And don't say chicken! :)

Jicin, grow up. That's the crap right there that people get pissed at. Its you opening your mouth.

You act like your everyone's mother, telling people what to do, and how to live.

Nobody really cares about your negative views on nature. Or your negative views in general.

Your very judgemental and opinionated, and just a nasty person.

Well, it depends on how you make Squirrel. In some ways, squirrel is like chicken as it has dark and white meat, but there the simularities change. Squirrel has a different texture, more grainy. The most common way to make it is squirrel and Dumplings...Yes, just like Chicken and dumplings. I like to bar-b-que it, as this way it is more like Vinicen or Beef.
