Reptie Lover
So, I had initially gone into one of the local pet stores here to pick out some new toys for my new rescue dog (she's a rat terrier..she and a bunch of pops lived outside their entire lives..unfortunately out of about 10 puppies only 4 survived)...I decided to check out the reptiles. First glance I saw typical ones..ball pythons, boas, a candy cane corn, milk snakes, banded california king, etc, as well as various lizards and arachnids. I went around to the corn snake set up and looked inside and in the water dish the first thing I spotted was a granite! (At least it looked like a granite to me. Looked EXACTLY like my male I have here.)
I asked to look at him and checked him out. Definitely looked like mine..so I asked if there were anymore. Inside, there was another one. I figured since it probably came from the same person it might have been another bloodred morph. It had a clear belly but didn't really look like a typical motley to me. Also had a white head (but I'm still bad at identifying right off. The only reason I'm sure the other was a granite was because it looked EXACTLY like my granite).
Oh, and get this...this is the first snake I have bought from a pet store since...2006? I had told myself never to buy from a pet store...especially with the reputation ours locally have. But, this one and the other one looked in decent health. They are good size too and weren't aggressive. Still quarantining though.
Anyways, here are some pictures. I showed it to Cent (aka runninghorsespirit) and it popped male and she says it might be a pastel ghost motley. What do you guys think?
Pictures were taken with a DSLR camera.
Belly shot! Those are my boyfriend's hands. He's very tan. On a turquoise-colored shirt.
Over shot just to show the colors better on the blue background.
Just a quick close up of the head. Had difficulties getting a good eye shot.
Eye shots...
I apologize for the picture spam. I wanted to make sure I got as many decent ones as possible so I could get some ideas as to what he is.
So, ideas? Opinions? Should I take a picture of him next to one of my other ones to get a better idea? If so, what should I pose him next to?
