I left my entire supply of frozen pinks out on the counter. Just got home at 7:30p to discover them. I got them out of the freezer at about 8p last night.

OUCH!!! That's not good and if it's been as hot down there (TX), as it has been up here (NH), then that AIN'T good!

we all did that a time or two, meg. I know I did it a few times, and I lived in a place where it was Hard to get mice in. unless you got them live and froze them yourself. but yea I feel your pain.

Ouch.. thats dubble ouch, well I have to watch my money too, I feed the big snakes every other week, my babies every week, and I have to do the fresh killed because I dont know how long the mice have been frozen, considering I live in alaska.(thats 2.49, or 1.75 (depending on where you go) a mouse up here), last time I got a order of 10 mice, their eyes were white, freezer burnt, missing legs and tails. not something you want to feed to your snake, at least thats how I feel anyway. bad food = unheathy snakes in my book.

Yeah, I wasted like 20 mice. Money is tight right now too. Well at least they just ate...

20?!?! That's not so bad. Last year, my chest freezer went out. I lost over 450 feeders. Not to mention the Adult Rats and Gerbils I had in there, that were meant to be sold as feeders.

I still sweat when I think about that mess! ;)

Gah! you feed gerbils to snakes? (cries) but they are so cute! (dislikes mice and rats, they stink and are nippy, no matter what you do)

Wow!! I bet that stunk!!! And alot of money wasted too!!

My sister forgot to pay the electricity bill before leaving town once. Well they turned the power off and she was gone for almost a week. The upright freezer was full of beef, deer meat, fish, and lots of vegetables. She said it smelled like there was a dead body in the house when she walked in. YUCK!!!

Yeah yeah, I know it's sad. Christine and I raise Gerbils. We have close to a 150 of them. She raises them for pets and shows. On occasion, when sales are slow, we are forced to cull off some of them.

We can't feed the adult ones to the corns. Toooo big! I usually sell or trade them to people who have bigger snakes. I usually get smaller feeders or a little money for them.

I agree! They are sooo cute! I'm a nut for the Agouti's! I don't know why. And not surprisingly, I'm a nut for Classic Corns too. I just love the wild types.

I have two silver siamese, I dont know how they got to alaska, but I got them free from a sideshow act at the state fair the other day, Cute little buggers, the tamest ones Ive ever gotten from anyone else. their white sister is a nipper though, I think she may be finding a new home soon, she drew blood this morning.

Oh dang, that sucks! I haven't done it yet, but I'm sure I'll do it one day. One time I bought four pinkies from a reptile store I went to visit (8 freaking dollars!) because I had just gotten 4 hatchlings. They completely thawed out by the time I got home. It was pretty gross, they were in a brown paper bag with a ice pack.

If I had extra pinks right now, I'd definitely help you out, you're not too far from me. I've been raising ASFs for a few months now, and am currently growing out another two females. If things are still tight on your end in a few months and you need pinks and my rats cooperate, hit me up!
