I'm curious...

Michael, I copied and pasted the link, and it was very interesting to read about your grandfather. Quite an adventurer.
I recognize the MacArthur Foundation as being a major sponsor of humanitarian causes. Including public television.
It was ridiculous how top secret they were at first, they were unable to tell anyone about their fellowship until a week after finding out. It is amazing how it works too, you aren't submitted, they find you.
Some people have started looking at him differently because of it, especially because of the money. You hear the number that comes with it, and think financial stability... nope. They live comfortably, in the sense that they have paid off their house, bills, and purchased a non rusty car. But when you spread the figure out over a lifetime, and factor in retirement, and other obligations, it really hasn't changed their lifestyle at all. He has been able to see a doctor because of it now :), something he really dreads at his age. He'd rather be found in the swamps, than have a doctor diagnose him with some awful illness, and put him through treatment.
I am so happy though, as my grandfathers work is relatively thankless in the bigger picture, and he has done so much work for free, even in the midst of his hardest financial struggles.

Really glad you could check it out Eric, thank you so much!

I'm just going to comment on the twin thing. Being a mother of twins I can only attest to the way MY girls truly do think alike.
I will have a conversation with one when she gets home from work and she'll say something very off the wall.
Not 2 hours later I'll have a conversation with the other daughter and I'll be darned if she doesn't say almost verbatim what her sister said.
And this is with no contact with her sister. So, to see Ricky and Michael seem to be saying the same thing, doesn't really surprise me at all. I guess it bothers me that so many don't understand how twins can think and say very similar things, it happens in my household all the time.

I can definately see the differences between the 2 of them. They are both gah gah for Obama, and say alot of the same things, but in a debate or an arguement Michael seems much more reasonable and seems more able to back up his statements. Ricky sometimes says things that don't make alot of sense to me...I think he gets upset and reads things in a different light than the poster intended.

That was my point. Micheal comes across as a lot more lucid, grounded, and reasonable than Ricky. I've found myself agreeing with Micheal's support - even if not with his conclusion - more than once. Much more than once. Once I started ignoring responses for Michael that were written by Ricky, my estimation of Micheal's post quality took an IMMEDIATE jump upwards.

Ricky just comes across too often as a troll that borders on being unable to comprehend a written idea.
