...but my snake is acting kind of temperamental and reclusive. I fed him over a week ago and he hasn't pooped which is odd to me because he usually poops within four days of eating. Also he is just staying in his hidey-hole all day and sleeping, only moving to get water whereas he is typically really energetic and playful. Even today he was getting water and after he was done I changed the water for him and upon putting the water dish back I stroked his side and he rattled his tale which of course means he doesn't want to be screwed with and proceeded to go back in his little hidey-hole thing. Yeah that's a lot but I don't know what any of it means :c I am just concerned for my wittle baby. Can anyone shed some light for me? Thanks
 
He's blue. In I'm guessing 3-5 days he'll come out, look normal, and then shed within a day. If you don't just wake up and find a shed.
 
Could the poo be hidden? This is is why I like to weigh the snake before each feeding. You know for sure if the snake has pooped or not. If he hasn't by the next feeding, he's blue.
 
I personally have never actually seen my snake in blue. He's always very active, but before he sheds he becomes reclusive and hides for around 10 days. Next time I see him after that disappearing period, there's a fresh shed somewhere about. But as far as being able to see any physical inklings of him being in shed, I've never seen it. Just give it time, Nanci's pretty good at predicting sheds.
