I noticed lately that my adult male hasn't been using his warm spot much, I didn't really think too much about it.
Yesterday I met a local fellow and traded my male for some of his babies, the male either had a regurge or pooped a partially digested mouse on the way to his new home. Its been 4-5 days since he ate last.

My question is, if the warm spot was too hot and a snake doesn't use it to get warm enough can that cause it to not digest its food that much?

The snakes new owner had questioned me extensively about regurges and passing undigested food as thats a sign of crypto, I told him I'd never had either of those happen before, and I hadn't. Now this happens and I'm sure he is worried about getting a infected animal.
 
The heat definitely helps in digestion. So if he was avoiding the warm side, I'm sure it slowed digeation down. Do you know the heat ranges in the viv?
 
It has to be pretty cool to have them not digest food properly. Mine sit on the cool side to digest all the time. During the summer, that's no big deal as my snake room stays around 80 degrees all the time. In the winter, it might get around 70 during the day. They do lay on the heat briefly though. How hot is hot over your pad, and how cool is the cool side?
 
The hot side is around 95*. During the day the house is in the low seventies but at night is it in the low 60's, some times the high 50's
 
Why not blame the regurge, if it is in fact a regurge, on the excitement of moving??

I was really worried about Maizey having crypto when she was going through the regurging phase, but I read that the telltale sign of crypto was the enlarged, hardened stomach, which she doesn't have.

I'd be like the new owner, too, though- assuming the worst instantly. Some people are just like that. Hopefully he's taking isolation very seriously if he _does_ truely suspect crypto.

The new owner was actual worried about crypto before he ever saw the snake. I don't know if he's had problems with it before or what.
I personaly don't think anything is wrong with the snake. He's always been super healthy, a great eater and no signs of any illness.

He's avoiding the warm side because it's waaaay too hot!:realhot: Should be a max of 85.
