Impuse Buy

TheFrogman

Im just old
I am a impulse buyer, I do it with everything so why stop now. I walked into my local "Mom n Pop" Pet Store today and I bought a Pueblan Milk Snake yearling. Ill pick him up tomorrow since I don't have a tank completely set up yet. Hes very pretty. Ill take pictures when I get him home tomorrow afternoon.

Its not a Corn so can I still stay ? LOL

Yeah this post would be better with pictures.

I impulse bought a snake the other day from Southwest Wisconsin Reptiles at a show I wasn't planning on buying at.

She is gorgeous and I love her.

You can stay, but silly you posted this in the classifieds wanted section.
Don't worry I'm sure a mod will move it to general chit chat for you :)

Back to your impulse buy; pictures or it didn't happen ;)

Lol sounds like frogman is gonna have to change his name to cornsnake man. The addiction has bit you pretty bad my friend.

Not sure if you know but be very careful with the milk snake and your other snake. Milk Snakes are known to eat other snakes :p

Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing pics! I'm already planning my next snake, but my budget forces me to be patient, LOL. Will be awhile before I can afford to set up a second viv and get another snake, but I definitely plan to get more!

I plan ahead, very far in advance.. I pick up stuff at Goodwill and Petco and my local store here and there a little at a time so when I'm ready to get another snake im all ready, all I need to do is put it all together.

I literally have tanks stacked 5 high in my garage, I get them from Craig's list, goodwill and Yards Sales and just hold on to them until needed.

You're way ahead of me then, lol. I actually do have a couple of tanks sitting around, a 25 gallon, and I have a 40 gallon tall that currently houses 3 axolotls, but I've been planning on selling them and purchasing a viv made for reptiles when Avatre is big enough to move out of her 10. They just seem more secure to me then just putting a screen lid on a fish tank, although I could be wrong, lol. I'm just paranoid about having an escapee!

I hear you but other than my current snake all I have is many, many Frogs and they don't require a lot of security up top. I have found the best tanks, setups and deals at Goodwill.

Nice, I love frogs, still want to own one some day. Just haven't decided what kind! :)
Just like snakes, there are great starters, the best and easiest Frog to start with is the Fire Belly Toad. Ill be happy to help and give advise if you want or need, that is where my expertise is.

Thanks! It'll probably be a little while yet before I get one, but it's definitely on my wish list some day. I'll shoot you a pm when I'm ready! :)
