Impuse Buy

yay! milksnakes!

I have a black milksnake. In my experience milksnakes are more jumpy than corns as babies and take a little longer to calm down as they get older. My milksnake is a poop slinger if I startle him. He's getting better though.

Funny you say that, I've been handling this guy at the store on my lunch times and almost every time I pick him up he poops on me. He is very jumpy but calms down within a few minutes.

Anyone know anything about Kenyan Sand Boas, they have one of those too, he's very pretty.

I have a few impulse buys. But I'm mostly the bargain hunter type. Most pet shops around here have normal and common morphed animals way over priced. Such as corn snakes for $70. However if I see a morph that would normally be over a $100 at a pet shop for only $70, then I'll most likely buy it.

Most recent purchase was a hypo bearded dragon that was on sale at a local Petsmart. Paid $20.

I wish I could afford to impulse buy. Congrats on the pickup. And if I can stay (I don't even have a corn snake anymore), then I think you're safe :)

Haha. More of my reptiles than I care to admit are "impulse buys" of some extent or another. My Trans pecos rat snake, a recent addition, was a total impulse buy! Saw him on Craigslist... Right price, just a few minutes away--MINE.

I've started collecting stackable cages when I see good deals to help preempt this sort of thing. Like the 24" Vision I happened to have sitting around when I found the Trans Pecos. :D

Congrats on your new baby!

I have a Pueblan milk - he was my first non-corn. He is finally losing interest in his poop flinging!

Ok, so you now know that I am a impulse buyer, well I went to pick up my Milk Snake and then I saw him, I saw this guy and I melted and the little guy on my shoulder said, "Gotta have em."

This is my 7 1/2 month old male Spotted Python, now taking name suggestions please.

Please make sure you are keeping all those snakes isolated from one another for at least three months. No mixing of water bowls, feeding containers, etc. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling each of them, before handling another.

I like spotted pythons. His head marking reminds me of the underside of a snapping turtle.
