Incubating at room temps?

How do you guys feel about this? I've heard that it's a good way to hatch out babies, although it takes longer. I'm considering it. I have a closet that stays about 80 degrees year round. Does anyone else incubate at room temperature?

80 degrees isn't 'room temperature'. :p When people say 'room temp' they're talking low to mid 70s.

80 degrees is fine. It'll take between 70 and 80 days for them to hatch. At true room temp, the eggs take 110+ days to hatch.

I incubate at room temp. Which in AZ can be between 72 to 82 degrees in my house. My incubation times vary from 55 days to 75 days. I can never be sure when eggs are going to hatch but I always have big healthy babies so I don't complain.

Do your adults have belly heat or do they do okay at your stated room temperature?

Hatched snakes to adult have belly heat. Just the eggs are kept in the closet of the snake room so they don't get the heat.
