Inexpensive temporary housing

I've been planning for a long time to got a male corn this year to be able to breed to the female we got last year when they are both big enough, so I already have an enclosure set up for it.

But now I'm getting so excited about it, I'm considering adding another female as well.

What suggestions do you all have for something inexpensive that I could get set up quickly as temporary housing if I do decide to get another snake at this time? It would be another hatchling, so it could be something real small.
 
What about heat? Is room temperature good enough for short term housing for corns? How cold is too cold?
 
I just went and checked a digital thermometer I have setting in the room I'd like to put the new snakes in. Min temp has been 68.7 and max has been 75.6. Not sure exactly how long it has been setting there, but at least several days, so it should be an accurate representation.
 
I got one of those long plastic kritter keepers that I would usually use as a feeding bin for my snakes..my hatchling is currently living in one of those..you can buy them for like 10.00 at wal-mart or maybe even cheaper..not sure..and as a source of heat I got creative..I have her kritter keeper right near my lizard's light..not to close but close enough to get heat from it..and I control how much heat she can get by moving it closer and further from the light..and at night when the light goes off the min. it's been is 72..so she gets a good day/night temp. gradient..she seems to be doing fine in all this but I do plan to move her up soon to a 20 long :0)
