I gotta say, I always wonder about these bite club initiation threads. They're not at all uncommon, and everytime I think, "What were you DOING during your childhood, if it wasn't getting bitten by reptiles?" :shrugs:
Maybe playing well with others instead of herping solo? I dunno. I guess maybe that could explain it.

This perfectly describes my childhood, with the addition of documenting all bird nests with species and number of eggs. I could be happily out in a swamp all day looking for blackbird nests. Or freshwater mussels- how one could consider those pets, I don't know, but I did.
