Introducing Ruby: Bloodred Stripe

Awww how cute! She reminds me of my little bloodred Hannibal. He is the only one I have that has attitude issues. At least I know I named him appropriately. She is really stunning. I am looking forward to her color change progression. Great new babies. I am so happy for you.

Oooh! Bacon and I were watching Survivor, when I spied activity in Ruby's viv! First spotting since she arrived, a week ago yesterday (not counting her feeding on Monday). I wondered if she was blue- I guess if she sheds tonight, I'll know! Bacon and I laid on our bellies and watched Ruby glass surfing until she spotted us and disappeared. "No, Bacon, that is not your future wife..."

And she never came out again! Last night was Ruby's third feeding. I found her under her cork bark. Curled up like a nice little sleeping baby. As I carried her to her bin in the kitchen, her head quickly flattened out into the more familiar triangle. I wanted to get a weight on her, so I put her in a collander on the scale. Man can she strike when she doesn't want to get picked up! Then she struck at her mouse when I put her in her bin, but she had to drop it so she could stand there like a cobra and threaten me while I put the lid on. She's so funny.

Her little friend Pepper took the pink out of my fingers for the first time.

Little lav stripe Calli is up to 7 grams now, and is an expert tail-rattler.

Lily, the lavblood, was blue but ate anyway.

Jasper, hypo bloodred, had his tenth post-regurge sliced and diced pink.

Jasmine, former bloodred hateling, now nice show off girl, is up to 10 grams.
