I honestly can't even believe this is still being discussed.

Q

If the horse gets beaten enough you could put in a sausage and feed it to your snakes. :crazy02:

Frozen Rabbit Feeders.
She sells whole animal rabbit burger coarse and fine ground.

When I made an inquiry in regards to getting some for a Monitor I had she asked if I thought there would be any market for snake sausages made from the ground whole rabbit. You will have to go to the site and read for yourself.
One benefit to the occasional use of "rabbit sausages" could be variety. Of course the snake would have to recognize them as food and eat them.

Caveate: they would cost more than regular whole rodents.

Anyone here ever hear about Farley Mowat and his book, Never Cry Wolf? Good read if you haven't. Anyway, Farley does an experiment on himself and starts eating mice. You will have to read the book to find out why. If all you saw was the movie, forget it, it isn't the same as the book.

Also, I believe I read through a thread, possibly on this site, where a young woman describes a disturbing symptom that develops in her snake. It begins to show signs of progressive paralysis that begins at the tail and advances towards the head. She is advised to consult a veterinarian. This she does and the diagnosis is.................Calcium deficiency! Symptoms VERY much like those commonly seen in captive lizards-especially the green iguana! How can this be?

Because she had been feeding the snake raw chicken breast for months! Go figure.

No! You should not feed "people food" to a snake. But, apparently you can feed snake food to a people.
