Wade do you separate the does when they are ready to birth? I have had them separate as well as 2 birthing together. I have 2 sets of 4 together thought they were going to be due the same day but 2 in each look like they are ready any day so Im debating wether or not I should separate. These groups have been together since they were young and get along great.

Thats why I was hesitate on separating them. Im thinking there is going to be 4 or 5 days between within the groups 2 of the 4 look preg but not golfball yet In the one tank 3 out of 4 are building nests but seem to be disagreeing on location the funny or strange thing is that the least showing one is doing most of the work. Do you leave the males also? I did remove him as the smell of 4 males was getting very odorful to say it nicely. He is the only remaining male for now and in with another group.

Wow those mice are HUGE. My female is expecting her first litter. How many babies do they normal have?

yes I agree with Wade I dont seperate my males either I did once as my male was poorly but now they all stay together and one of my litters that only had one male and a female in I kept 2 of her girls back and now all 3 girls are expecting, I also set up some new cages with some of my offspring and have about 4 others all due, once you have a nice pair together its not worth the hassle of taking males out as it can be a nightmare to reintroduce them.
