Is my setup ok for my new Tessera?

I have him in a 20 gallon zilla terrarium with 2 hides (1 rock hide + 1 banzai climbing tree hide), 1 plant and 1 water bowl. This tank has a locking mechanism built in and a pad lock hole at the front for added security. I have my snake on a desk in the corner of my dining room. My two 15-20 pound dogs are left to roam the house, but cannot access the snake or tank. Do you think this is safe enough for my new corn?

My main concern is that if he gets out and climbs down to the ground, the dogs could get to him. I am currently in the process of remodeling a room that I will be able to safely house the snake in, but for now is this ok?
I make sure that the tank is always locked and the dogs have no idea about him and vice versa.

The warm side is kept at 82-89 degrees with a UTH and dimmer. I have a thermostat on the way though. His cool side is kept at 70-75, is this too cold? He is set up by a window. I live in Southern California and it ranges in the high seventies to low eighties this time of year where I live.

Thank you in advance for your input.

Just watch out for any spaces between the doors and viv that he may be able to fit through.

I would keep the warm end at a steady 87° so the substrate is about 85° on top. This will raise your cool side too, which I try to maintain a constant 75°.

The more "clutter" in the viv the better, especially for the little ones. They love the groundcover that they can hide under, I use lots of aquarium plants and for extra hides, look in your bathroom cupboard: toothpaste boxes, Band-Aid boxes, and I take some toilet paper rolls and smoosh them flat at one end and angle it down into the substrate. This looks like a cave to them, and it is just the right size.

What does your corn weigh? That will help us give you an answer if it is too much or too little for your corn.

Thanks for the advice! I have raised his UTH temp to be around 87 and have added more home-made hides from small boxes. I am still giving him time to adjust, so I haven't weight him yet. He is very fast, squirmy and small, so I don't want to freak him out or drop him. At his next feeding time this Sunday, I will try to weigh him before.
