Hi, about a week ago I moved into a new house (we're renting) and I guess the people before us decided they didn't want their corn snake anymore! He's around 15 inches long and was in one of those plastic 5gal aquariums. Thing is, no one had lived there for almost two months before we moved in, and the heat wasn't on (I live in northern canada and it was below 0 when we turned it on).
I bought a 4' long x 3' tall x 2' wide front sliding glass door terrarium with an underpad heater, coconut husk and repibark substrate with tons of live plants and hollow wood pieces he can hide in with vines and stuff.
He ate about three days after he warmed up, two pinkie mice.
There aren't any exotic vets within about 500kms (I'm here for the oil and gas industry, so way up north) so is there any way of telling whether he's healthy? And am I doing anything wrong? I've never had a snake before :uhoh:
