Isis, my new sunset boa

Kali

lost cause
This wasn't planned! I wanted to get a boa next year! We are kind of rebuilding our house this year, so buying plans were moved to next year. I have been reading up on boa care and after a huge amount of pics, I decided that I liked the sunsets best.
Sunsets aren't very common, not here anyway, don't know about the other side of the pond, so I prepared myself for a long search so I wouldn't be too dissapointed when I didn't immediately found one...next year.
And of course, what do I find... this year? An ad: sunset boa's. It was a lost cause. I faught myself a bit on this, and I lost/won, so today I went to get me a beauty.
So here is Isis, born 22nd of april, NOT happy I took her home with me, hissing all the way :D
Oh well, she'll change her mind, I'm sure of it.

Here she is, let me know what you think!
The pics are taken with flash, I noticed that those pics came closest to her true colours.

I love the looks of Sunsets. A local breeder has at least a couple of them that he showed me, but they were out of my price range. Congrats on the pretty girl. She's a beauty :).

I "aaaaaaw!"'ed out loud at the photo of you holding them in your hands and she's doing a threat display. So smaaaaall. <3

Congrats! Did you already put it on your VLAREM? Boa constrictor are illegal in most of Belgium but you know, if they don't know they don't care =P

thanks :)
They are great indeed!
Atmox at first I thougth that I would need Cites papers, as all boas are at least cites 2, but apparantly that's only nessecary for wildcaught animals, for captive bred you need statements from the one you bought them from (overdrachtspapieren).
That's what I've been told anyway, I hope it's correct.
It might be different if you transport them over a border?

thanks :)

Yes at Reptibel from Daniel Pottier. He breeds all his own stock. I didn't know before that he had sunsets.
