Hello one and all. I've finally decided to join this forum for the sheer amount of info I've gained from skulking around for so long. I plan on getting one of Don Soderberg's 2012 okeetee male hatchlings come this July/August. I gathered all of the supplies I need and am now running temp trials on my Ultratherm 6x11 heat mat with and without insulation. When I have the viv set up, sans snake, I'll post pics.

Lovely to meet you all,
P.

Welcome to the forum.
I'm off of exit 4 of the GSP. Yeah I know..that other state!!!.
Keep mums about that morph and what do you mean by insulation!! Bedding?

Oh yeah...I meant a snow corn...I love albino morphs. The Ultratherm heat mat radiates heat from both sides so to force more of the heat into the viv, it can be used with polystyrene insulation to sandwich it between the viv glass and the insulation.

Welcome to CS! I have learned so much here myself. Sounds like you are really planning before getting your first corn snake. You will learn so much here on their care and what they need.

Best thing I've learned here: DO YOUR RESEARCH I'm surprised at the amount of people who get corn snakes, or any other animal, THEN decide to figure out things like what they eat and how to house them.....mind boggling.
