well ok i no this happens with some corns as they grow but this is like outstanding. the first corn i got (Bubbles) when i got her was just a normal corn snake her color was dull red and some oranges and now. well she is like bright red and bright orange its strange last time she shed she will still a dark red. this month she is bright red. i was like wow what a change i actually thought someone had nicked my old snake and got a new one. she has grown around 4inches as well since the last shed whats pretty impressive.

All of these pictures were taken the same day as the shed.

so what you think strange or normal change in color? im puzzed seriosily didnt no they changed color like that. will she go back? will she stay the same?

They continue to develop color for at least a year if not two, I believe. They look totally different from hatchling to yearling to adult. That's what so cool about corns, seeing the colours improve as they mature.

Your's will probably keep getting brighter, more orange in the background.
 
wow wicked i just new they changed but all the pictures i saw were like small changes like color a little brighter. i was just very shocked to see it go from one color to a completely different one after 1 shed. cant wait to see what she looks like in a year or so then.
 
Isn't there also a flash light involved in this 'dramatic' change? Flashes can really make that big of a difference you know... looks like it to me!
 
well i admit that picture does look a slight bit more red but it is really just as much as color change trust me its really strange how it changed color so fast lol well it is to me its a shock if yeah no what i mean. but yeah the color is a birght red color kind of like the top of a cocacola bottle top. its almost that red now. befor it was a darkish brown going into a red color?
 
That looks like a pretty typical color change for a normal. :)

See if you can get your hands on an Okeetee from Lee Abbott or Kathy Love... you'll probably fall over dead. :bang:
 
lol i take it they change color a lot then? i always new corns did it was just a shock to me to see it happen because yesterday she was a dull dark brown and today its in your face red like never befor. strange when you just wake up and see that. lol
 
Well, if she really got from dullish red to Coca cola red I can't deny a big change.... you do actually remember what she looked like before she even got into blue mode? Maybe you only compare it to the just before shed mode, and forgot a little what she looked like just after the shed before this one.. (yeah, I know I'm annoying just 'questioning' it again but I'm just in the mood for it right now so please excuse :sidestep: )
 
hahaha no worries im happy to answer them im bored girlfriends at work and im just sitting here. and yeah i remember what she looked like b4 the shead and after the last shed exacily i got a good memory and around 400 photos ;)
 
lol yeah im a nutter with a camera i take like 00s of shots then choose the ones i want or like. :) plus i got the new camera like a few weeks after the snakes and had to try it out :)
