Just got my corn out!

So i went in to change his water and he comes slithering over for a nosey, so i started stroking him and lifted him out. Its the first time i have had him out since i got him last week and he is so friendly, I didn't expect him to accept me so soon. I actually love him!

Hes is about 4 - 4 1/2ft long and so much faster than my ball python. What a beautiful creature!

That's exciting! Usually my corns are resistant to being picked up, but once they're out, they're fine. Sometimes they'll come to me if they hear me refilling the water or checking for poop.

It probably helps that he's already a confident adult, not a flighty little baby.

That's awesome. Mine is fine once she is out, but I have to chase her sometimes to get her out. I look forward (and hope) for the day she comes to me instead of me chasing her.

wow it seems i got lucky with this fella then! hes getting much more confident now as he settles in, hes poking his head out of his hide most of the time now. hes just really nosey i think!

Franko, yours sounds a lot like my corn. I got him at 4 1/2 feet, and he usually comes right to me. I think there is an advantage of getting an adult, if he has been handled and treated well. : - )

is it normal for him to be so active, hes always roaming about in his viv and he rarely stays in his hides whereas the python never moves much, hes just stays in the corner and sometimes has a climb on his tree. Gregg is very active!

If Greg's a mature boy, then zooming around at this time of year is perfectly normal, as he'll be looking for love! Just double check your temps though, as higher temp ranges can also make 'em a bit flighty and bitey.

Aww he wants a girlfriend!!! Glad hes not bitey and his temps are fine. Hes actually gone in his hide for a bit now.
