Leonidas is in his new home.... MINE!

He came home yesterday in a well protected rucksack... and survived the pouring rain, the tube journey & the train ride home to be put in his new home with me...

So, his home:

and the only pic I currently have of him from putting him in last night:

Please excuse the pic quality - I only have a phone camera to work with here :S

Ha! I had to study your picture for a bit to figure it all out.
First thought the water dish was another snake. The beding looks good and fluffy for him to hide in too.

Good luck with your new snake.

Ah yes, sorry - in the pic of his home he's actually hiding in the coconut hide (the 1st pic I took the flash was accidentally on - terrible pic but showed up his markings under there ;D). It was taken this morning as I'm still tidying & trying to find space for everything that used to be in there when it was my 'storage' room instead of spare bedroom ;)

It's so annoying knowing that there's a perfcetly gorgeous and happy little snake in there that I got to hold for ages only 2 nights ago but he needs time to get comfy in his new place :( I'm a very impatient person :(

Haha, thanks! Thinking of looking for a crown for his viv once he's bigger - along with a few other bits n bobs that'd give anyone an ego ;)

Thanks muchly - it tooks some time but he is MINE!!

I've been told he last shed about 3 weeks ago so I'm trying to figure out when he'll next shed (he'll be fed again on Thursday if not in blue already). This will all be put down in his little red notebook of info ;)

Got sent this pic of him through from about 3/4 days ago - he had just been woken up & was not feeling like a morning snake according to her ;)

Had Leo out last night and he was fab - wanting to go anywhere and everywhere!

And then he became interested in the camera ;)

Thank you both, I am in love with him :) He's ging to be fed tomorrow so will have him out for a short while before then preparing his meal... prepare me for another 2 day wait before I can hold him again ;D

Had Leonidas out to watch some of the Hobbit with me on my laptop... he wasn't that fussed by it, must work on his film tastes :(

My friend's snake is up to two pinkies now, she says that's about where Leo should be for his next feed... there's not much of a bulge when he's done eating so I believe she's right (plus he was looking around for more food straight after)... yay!!

Leo went on to two pinkies! I don't think he stopped for much rest between swallowing the first and moving on to the second either, he's such a greedy thing!

I laughed so hard at the photo where he's climbing on the camera. I have tons of these too. Well seem like leonidas isn't camera shy at all!!!

Yeah, he likes to investigate everything, especially cameras! He's also found lovely cosy spots in my dressing gown pocket and hoodie pocket. I can't wait til he grows up and learns that cameras = stay still ;D

Depends - if female I was thinking Gorgo (Queen of Sparta ;D) but Ajax was a front runner, Orestes too... I have a thing for the classics ;)

Leo has had his first shed with me :D

I found it like this (end part in the water bowl)

then unrolled it to check everything had come off (it had!! from the eyecaps down to the tip of the tail!)

So whilst his food was thawing I thought I'd show off his shiny new colours ;)

So I had Leo out last night and this baby has reached a whopping 24g :D
He also has a thing for my dressing gown!
