Last Bird Died

Patients took over asylum
Well, my last zebra finch died this morning. Found it right before the mold professional came to explain the report. I got the apartment tested to see if mold was a problem. I knew there was mold in the bathroom and I've complained to the landlord about it. In general and among other things, this is what was found according to the report:

Stachybotrys Chartarum (http://www.mold-help.org/content/view/429/0/)

Aureobasidium Pullulans (Pullaria) (http://www.mold-help.org/content/view/427/0/)

The first is very bad and probably explains my constant headaches and being tired all the time. This is a quote from the provided link:

Animals injected with the toxin from this fungus exhibited the following symptoms: necrosis and hemorrhage within the brain, thymus, spleen, intestine, lung, heart, lymph node, liver, and kidney

I'm wondering if an autopsy on the two guinea pigs, seven birds, and three snakes in my freezer would prove this. I lost many more snakes than the three in my freezer. I should have done this testing after the four pigs died (only saved two because the others were starting to bloat when I found them).

For the second, it's not really that bad it seems. Might have something to do with my sneezing. But that could also be regular old outdoor allergies (thanks to working in a flower warehouse, I'm now allergic to flowers).

So, my current goal is to find a hotel that will let me move in two dogs, two cats, five guinea pigs, five fish tanks, 26 snakes, 1 gecko, 1 tarantula, and myself for a week or so while this is fixed. And I get to yell at the landlord some more because it was paid out of pocket and I will probably be paying for the damage out of pocket as well.

Hopefully this explains why I lost so many snakes as the snake/fish/bird room was most affected. The kitchen was second. The living room was third. The bathroom fourth. And the last bedroom fifth.

Can everyone hear me screaming curses? People in Norway, can you hear me now? :headbang:

If there's mold in the apartment that's bad enough to kill animals and cause problems for you and the landlord hasn't taken care of it (or has said "YOU take care of it"), I think that's a legal issue.

Sorry to hear of all your loses, though.

I agree, you can't be expected to live somewhere that's dangerous to your health. I'd look into the legality of it, or move. Actually, I'd probably move anyway. Your landlord sounds kind of sketchy. I'm sorry about all your animals :(

I would suggest you hang onto those dead animals you have and document everything that has happened in relationship to the animals dieing. Also hang onto anything you have regarding testing done for the mold and treating the mold. Don't pay cash for anything. Use checks and credit cards and keep all the papers. Document everything. Go talk to an attorney, he will write a letter to your landlord that will make him your best friend.

I would also go talk to your doctor and find out if you have suffered any damage that is not apparent yet. This could lead to more than you are aware of.

My health problems are most likely unrelated. In my CAT scat last March, I was informed that there is actually a brain in that thing attached to my neck. The sanity probably was never there.

Other than that and problems related to my accident last year, the only problem I have is non-specific ovarian failure. I doubt living here has caused that though. I'm thinking the URI one of my pigs had was probably due to the house. It was a re-occurring problem. Two that had died suddenly became very weak despite the fact that they had food and water at all times. They both died before I could get them to the vet. The one with the URI had been to the vet dozens of times for the medication.

The dogs seem fine, as do the cats. Of course, the fish are mainly fine. I lose one now and again but I blame that on genetics (Petsmart fish). And this ant colony that seems to have moved in seems to be thriving. I hate the spring... Stupid ants. At least they'll be gone in a short while.

I would immediately be speaking with a lawyer and going to the doctor to have them actually look for the things that mold could do to you. If you were going for a CAT scan then they may not have been looking for the effects of mold spores.

I am mad FOR you. Oh my goodness.. You definitely need to be compensated for your damages.

What in the world are you feeding your cat?

Lol. Did I type "Scat"? Really? I meant scan. Honest. Wow. See what happens when I get on the computer before breakfast?

Scan. Cat Scan.
