Latest Keeper

Bobo's Mama

proud corn mommy!
I've decided to keep this little guy and raise him up to replace his dad, who is getting a little long in the tooth. I've named him Tanner. He's such a cutie. He's my third generation. So his babies will be my fourth! He is still just a hopper, but I've started handling him now so he won't be as afraid as his store-bought dad and aunt were.

Nice looking little guy, but please do not name the food. If you have to name him may I suggest breakfast or lunch or dinner or snack. Only kidding. I guess I am the only person who can not name feeders. If I name them then they are pets and I can not feed off pets.

That is the hard part every once in a while I will get the cutest mouse and can't seem to use it as a feeder :) He sure is a cutie :D

He won't ever be fed off. He is just going to be a daddy. He will probably just die of old age like his dad will. I don't feed off the adults, just the babies. My corns aren't big enough to eat adults yet.

Tanner is so cute. I love his name. I have too many keepers. Don't know if I should blame it on the kids, myself or both.

I don't like mice, but even I have to admit that he's a cute little guy. But don't tell anyone I said that. :grin01:

LOL when I was young and on the farm I heard that from my father more times than I can count... there was a point where we were allowed to name a calf Hamburger, a lamb Mutton, and of course Porkchop the pig.... that didn't work either since sometimes their names were stamped on the packages...

I raised goats and all the boys get named food things.........I still have Meatball (ended up liking him too much) and there's been bbq, chili, hamburg, roasty, etc .

I can't keep track of my mice long enough to name them (except the original pair, mickey and minnie)... so they're "the cute white one with fawn spots" or "the satin dove colored one with the white spot on her head" :shrugs:

I've got a pet Rabbit named Steak :grin01:

People either laugh or give me realllllly odd looks when I tell them what his name is.. nice to know I'm not alone in having a pet named after a food item!

Although.. I suppose many corn morphs are named after food items as well... :grin01:
