This clutch was a surprise to say the least. The dam is on breeding loan to me and she was only known as a lava het caramel. I had planned on pairing her with my topaz male to produce a bunch of topaz, but for some reason my topaz was just not into it, so I threw in my male lava het caramel ph amel. Weeeeeeell, it appears that both sire and dam proved out het amel! We were able to produce a bunch of lavas, three topaz, two lavamels, and one stellar lava butter (I like Butterflow). The only other photo I could find of a lava butter is on Ian's, but it doesn't look anything like this one. If anyone else has photos of a lava butter I'd really like to see yours.
Below are all four possible morphs from this pairing. At the end I've included a collage of all four.
Lava 66% ph amel caramel
Lavamel 66% ph caramel
Topaz 66% ph amel
Lava Butter (Butterflow Corn)
All four lava morphs
Thanks for looking!
