Lavender-Albino Cali King: Freshly Shed

Here's Kal, a fairly recent pet store impulse acquisition. He's usually vicious, musky, and thrashy, but tonight he was ok. He's a proven snake-eater, having taken care of three non-feeders that I finally put down a few weeks ago. He ate a hopper on top of that too. He takes meal-time very seriously...

So pretty, I'd never have guessed he's a cannibal with personality issues.
Well I guess a cannibal would have to have personality issues, wouldn't he. :grin01:

Oh right
Nice snake! :D

He's really handsome Dean! So he is a lavendar-albino, I guess that would be an Opal if it was a corn! Cool. Kings always have such vibrant colors. One of these days.....I'll get a king too, but probably an MBK. You should do some kings in the progression series too. :)

I love the lav albino cali's!! I just wish my girl would grow faster. I picked up a regular lavender cali the other day and the difference is remarkable. Keep those pics coming!

Thanks Becky, dionythicus, and Jenn. :)

Thanks M-B, but he's no cannibal! He didn't eat another L. getula. But I'm sure he would, so I guess he just isn't a PROVEN cannibal... yet. ;)

Gorgeous! So do you have 2 now? I think I saw pics of a smaller one months ago, not fairly recent.... or is time flying by too fast again? ;)

Thanks. :) Do I have 2 now? I guess it depends on how you look at it. I also have a lavender-albino Florida king, but that's a different subspecies. This subtle distinction served as the justification for this one's purchase. :grin01: But seriously, they DO look very different.

I also have two female MBKs, and another pair of those coming. :)

Here's a photo of the FL from July:
