Kernel has been on hoppers since December 22nd. I'm betting that in another 6 weeks or so I'll upgrade him to the next size.
My story is similar to Eddie's. Lee picked out Kernel and when I opened the shipping box and saw him for the first time I was a little disappointed in the lack of colors. Lee told me the same thing he told Eddie - that the ones that are very dark and lightly colored as hatchlings tend to be the most stunning and awesome when adults. That picked up my spirits better than anything else could. As Kernel sheds each time his colors get a little better. I enjoy looking at other photos of full grown Abbotts, and can't wait for Kernel to reach adulthood.
