Lego hides?

I was reading on another thread about lego hides. That sounds like a great thing for my kids and I to do, but the only problem is... what should it look like? How big? etc.... Are there any photos of some that have been done??? Thanks!

I believe that was my thread that you were probably looking at. Here is what my lego hide looks like.

Ignoring the wires and everything, you can see that my hide setup isnt that complicated, its really just a long box with a stairway leading to a hole in the top. One side of the box is on the warm end, and the other side of the box is on the cool end, so the snake can choose the temperature it wants to be.

Willow (see avatar) loves the thing and spends most of her time there.

Obviously, there are certainly many ways of doing a lego hide, this is just my cheap version as I dont have many legos anymore. It can be as elaborate or simple as you want.

Have fun, and hope this helps

Wow! That actually looks like something I can do! YAY!! thanks for the photos, and I think it was your post I was reading...? Willow is beautiful!

I remember reading somewhere on this forum (I cant remember exactly where so please forgive my inability to correctly cite this) that having the hole on top was preffered by the snake. I wouldnt know why, but I just remember reading it. Since it wasnt any harder to build, I decided to try it. If someone has that information and reads this, Id love to have the explanation.
