rebuilding my life
Hi All!

Anyways (now hat I have internet) I would like to share a little something with you.

My boyfriend thinks I have eight snakes. The most recent being my poor rescue king boy.

He hasn't noticed the new baby butter, or the lovely caramel who is much larger, ergo harder to hide...

They're sitting right in front of him. On display. I know he hasn't noticed them, because if he had he'd roll his eyes and sigh, and complain...

It's been 15 days for the butter, and 12 for the caramel.

How long should I wait before I tell him?
Or should I just let it keep going like this? :)

Bawhahaha I do not have an answer for you but I do know that my husband honestly doesnt know how many snakes I have. I talked to him every time I think about getting another one. He even knows most of their names minus my lavenders and a couple of my hold backs but he just calls them my purple snakes and the look alike snakes. All but 3 are in racks in the same room so it would be easy to count but he doesn't. He has ever bothered to look at the grand total.

Even though he doesn't care how many snakes I have I still talk to him each time another one comes into the house. I will tell him what it is. How old it is and how it is going to help me with future goals. Most the time it is way over his head but I still tell him because he lives here and he does technically have a say in how many "pets" we have. And that way if he even tries to say something I can tell him "Well I talked to you about it and you said you didn't care."

Yes, usually I do tell him when I'm getting another one.
I Did tell him I was "interested" in the caramel girl I got. I hee hawed for a month before I bought her and then we had to move, and get ready for college and uni and I just never got around to telling him.
The butter baby was unexpected, I bought her from a friend in exchange for her picking up my caramel from the mainland.

Unfortunately I don't have a breeder's excuse, mine are strictly pets. I'll leave breeding to others in my area.

He still hasn't noticed!

Does he like them? If he doesn't pay them much attention, he may not notice for a while.

I need to start checking out all of these colors, they sound pretty.

He thinks I have too many. He protests every time a new animal comes into the house.
He and my friends are under the impression that I'm a 'hoarder'.

Well, I have this feeling it could be VERY easy to do! So many colors and I could see myself getting too many. I have to be careful though, I will not rush into more right away.

I have a Character List of snakes that I want to buy. Plus I take in rescues from online and wild snakes that my grandparents' cats try to kill.

Five of my snakes and my cat are rescues right now. I'm not taking in any more til spring.
