When I took the bowl out to clean it a few days ago,I noticed them spring or jump, like a flea would,,when I disturbed them in the water... :shrugs:
Sounds like springtails...harmless & frequently appear spontaneously in moist/wet areas, especially in spring.

Springtails

The springtail might be what I'm dealing with.
I did add some jungle floor to my snakes tank about a month ago.I wanted to deepen the substrate, since my snake loves to make tunnels.
I took my snake out tonight, and checked her over.Clean as a whistle, and SUPER healthy looking.I think I'll googal the snake mite,,just to see what shape they are.

There's a thing called aspen mites, but they are big and look nothing like snake mites. They are icky crawly gray things. Not harmful to the snake.

I don't use aspen :sidestep: I hate that bland looking stuff,(sorry),,so,,,their not those "icky" little buggers.
