lllreptile.com?

I purchased my first baby CB Ball Python from them, and it died a month or so after arriving. I doubt it had anything to do with them per se, as it mangled itself somehow while I was out of town for a weekend. I've heard people having good purchases with healthy animals, though.

They're decent as far as supplies, as they're the cheapest around for incubators and the like. But I usually do most of my business for supplies with herpsupplies.com instead. More selection it seems.

But for quality animals I would chose a private breeder over a petstore in a heartbeat. LLL doesn't produce most of their snakes, so goodness knows where it comes from or what it may have. Plus, as with all petstores, they charge a premium for some morphs you can find cheaper by buying privately.

So I guess its up to you, really. =)

LLLReptile

I love LLL to be honest, they have the lowest prices on supplys but when u get a animal from them u don't know of any hets the animal has. I have 2 friends that work there and they treat me right.

My avatar is of a miami I got from them, all I know is he's a male but they didn't know of any hets. Cindy I believe is her name (one of the owners) breeds the creasted geckos, but 99% of the animals come from breeders.

They are one of the best herp places out there. I would recommend them.
I love the store for many reasons but if you are looking for a animal that u want to know the hets, go private.

For corns their prices are about the same as most breeders; personally I wouldnt buy an animal from them as I have heard bad things equally as much as good things mainly about their wild caught animals. I prefer getting one directly from the breeder, even if it is more expensive, as most breeders will have an extensive history of the animal.

I've purchased from them at a show and online and have only good things to say. I have a bullsnake/cornsnake hybrid that I got from them online. There wasn't a picture on their site so when I called they were happy enough to get the pic uploaded within a day or two and emailed it to me before then. They also told me about his temperment and answered all my questions. I also got both my Christmas corns off their website without any problems. One of the corns was on the table at a show the weekend I called and they contacted the person working the table to sex it because I was hoping for a pair. They called me back to let me know that they had 1.1 and I paid over the phone. I picked up a rosy boa at a local reptile show and they were great to deal with. I even saw the Christmas corns at that show and should have grabbed them then! I would recommend LLL.

i'd have to agree with several of the above posts: LLL - ok for supplies, not good for animals.

I've perchased 2 animals from them - one amazon tree boa, and a scorpion. The Amazon has been in good health, but the scorp died due to mycosis of the chela. They were able to give me no info on either animal, though they were able to say the ATB was CB. The didn't even have the scorpion labelled as the right species (though they use common names, they didn't even have that right). Both were purchased at a local show they attend.

I have looked over other animals at their booths (other ATBs, GTPs, and a Vine Snake). Most are ill in health.

The worst thing I've ever heard at a show came from a woman working the LLL booth. Someone was inquiring about Sulcatta's they were selling. The LLL woman said "I love these little guys... and when they get too big for you, you can sell it and get another baby..."

i could have killed her
