Hello everybody.

I'll be grateful if you could spare a couple of minutes of your time to help us with some very needed info. My son is going to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah this summer and I'm planing to travel with him to London for a couple of weeks.

As it is extremely difficult and tiresome to get the needed papers to bring back with us reptiles from the U.K. to Israel we decided to use the opportunity to purchase instead some equipment for his terrariums - namely hides and caves for reptiles and water dishes that we saw on the internet and are not available for sale in Israel.

The items we would like to buy were shown on U.S.A. sites and I couldn't find any shop on the web that is located in London that has them for sale [we are not reffering to products manufactured by the EXO-TERRA company].

We posted on a certain UK forum a post asking for help with this matter but got no reply so we hope that we'll be more lucky here.

I'm aware of the possibility that these items might not be available in England for sale - if so - tough luck - but if they are available a friend of mine that lives in London will purchase and keep them for us - unfortunately he is not into reptiles and has no idea which reptiles\pets shops in London might have these items or similar ones for sale.

Many thanks in advance for any useful info and tips about such shops - names and addresses - if they have sites on the web where inquiries can be made - even better.

Yes,a few days ago my son posted there and got no reply - I posted again in a different forum there a few minutes ago - I hope that maybe now we will get some info (the first post was in the newbie forum and it was pretty much ignored) otherwise we will have to spend our time scampering 'round London looking for reptiles stores instead of sticking to our plans to spend time visiting friends and enjoing the museums and sites we intend to see.

I am pretty familiar with London as I lived for over a year in Hackney many years ago - but at that time few shops kept reptiles for sale.
 
Crystal Palace Reptiles has a good rep. The website http://www.crystalpalacereptiles.com/ is about the animals, but if you drop Darren a list of the kit you're looking for, he might be able to tell you whether they have it in stock. Might save a journey out to Upper Norwood if they don't stock it.
 
There is a member from Israel ("kokopelli") who may be able to help also. Congrats to your son btw :*)
