22 is not enough snakes
We got a new breeder female last year who was slightly underweight so we didn't brumate her and I didn't have high hopes we'd get anything, but she proved me wrong this morning.
She's a ghost motley and he's anery het hypo and lavender. First time breeding for her, and she popped out 12 eggs (although I can't begin to imagine where she was hiding them because she sure didn't look gravid). She didn't show any signs of being gravid, ate the whole way through, and I watch the breedings like a hawk because the male was more than twice her weight. Last year this male produced for us with a different female, so clearly he had things under control because I only saw one lock up.
Today's public service announcement: It only takes one time, boys and girls!
