Looking for a very specific snake

Hi everyone,

I am new to herping, and am looking to purchase my first snake. I first fell in love with corn snakes, and then fell in love with abbott okeetee's. At some point in my research, I found a picture of an abbott okeetee in which all of the red pattern on its back was connected, instead of a segmented pattern. It still had the thick black outline separating the orange, but all of the red was connected. This has become my "dream" snake, and I am hoping to find one that I can purchase.

I have become overwhelmed with the number of corn snake breeders out there, and am having a hard time finding anybody who has an abbott okeetee as I have described (or has updated their "available" list since '09, for that matter).

I'm aware that this pattern may be extremely rare, but would still like to ask this community and wonderful forum full of extremely knowledgeable folks for help. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thank You!!!

P.S.
My girlfriend recently purchased her first snake. I researched for weeks prior, and set up her entire viv. I am happy to say that I have done very well. She has had her male brook's kingsnake (named "Lecter") for 2 weeks now. He has enthusiastically eaten 3 pinkies and has had a complete (1 piece) shed since he's been in our care. Oh, and he's a sweetheart, very docile and inquisitive. I just wanted to add this story to show that I have demonstrated correct and responsible husbandry to a colubrid. If you all can help me find my dream snake, he/she will be very well taken care of!!!

Update! Found the owner of the snake I saw. It is owned by Troy and Jarret @ the cornnection.com. The snake's name is Madras and is shown on their "collection" page. I am going to contact them, but any help will still be very much appreciated!

Thank You!!!

Looks like an Aztec patterned Okeetee. Gorgeous snakes. :) I'm sure you've already looked at the For Sale forum here; have you also looked at FaunaClassifieds.com?

I seem to remember MegF breeding Aztec Okeetees. Might be worth contacting her to see if she still breeds corns (it's been a couple years since the last time I really looked), and if/when she should have some available. Here's her website... http://www.franclycac.com/index.htm

Jarret and Troy are super nice people and great breeders here!
If for some reason they don't have what you are looking for, check out Lee Abbott. He is a member here as well....and if the name seems familiar, well he is the one behind the Abbott's okeetees.

I just went and checked out the snake you are talking about. Thanks now I want one lol. That is a beautiful snake. I hope they can help you get your dream snake.

Oh Josh, you want EVERYTHING!!! LOL!!
That is a gorgeous animal though....

You ever see the tv commersial where the guy is on a dock fishing. A guy comes up behind him and ask what are you fishing for. He says "I want it all" as the camera shows his like 200 fishing poles he has set up lol. Thanks me baby lol.

Thanks for all the nice words guys... The trio on the website...Madras, Masala, and Tandoori are from Lee Abbott's stock... They are some beautiful Okeetees with deep coloration and wide black borders.. I will try to post some updated pics tonight....they are a year older now and the colors are great.

Kulprit: I sent you a PM....
