Keep in mind I'm still suffering from new-snake-owner-itis, so I tend to take pictures of EVERYTHING she does. Sorry.


Here is her perfect shed- and the jar it is going in! Kind of gross to keep dead skin around, i guess, but mostly just way cool.

Tolmie's new outfit:

this shiny snakey likes to tie herself up in knots?

she'll weave through my fingers and then just sit there, with this look on her face like "hah, I caught you- just try to get away NOW!"

or she'll pick two fingers, wrap herself around them:

and then pull them together like a drawstring, and force my hands into odd positions. She's a strange one.

I'm really excited because the white on her belly was completely pure, but after this shed I noticed a little orange coming in. Can you see it?

i ALMOST got a sweet tongue shot, but the automatic flash ruined it. Curse you, automatic flash!

This is the little canopy that I put over her water bowl to give her some soaking privacy while she was in blue. I put a moist hide in at first, but she apparently prefers to sit in her bowl instead, cause she never used it. I found her in her bowl every morning until she shed.

When I stuck her back in her cage after our little photo session, she went for a drink. It was absolutely adorable, so I apologize, but I had to take another picture. Its not very good. I promise you it was cuter in real life.

No reason to apologize for "new-snake-owner-itis." I love your photos and they remind me so much of when we first got our snakies and how they'd weave around our fingers like that. I especially love the last photo of her drinking. I hope you will be lucky enough to get to actually watch her shedding some day. She looks like such a sweet snake.

thanks! i tend to change it around every time i clean it out....she had an egg carton hide in there that she LOVED, but she pooed all over it, so had to take it out.
being creative with hides and her cage is pretty much the only remedy to he CRAZY ADDICTIVE POWERS that these beautiful snakes have.

I figure if i change her cage around enough,
spend all my time making custom hides out of random bits of cardboard and old containers, and planning how i'm going to build her huge custom cage, I won't go out and buy one off those BEAUTIFUL sunglows from pgr8dnlvr......

I have a ventral shot that I took on the new snowboard table my flatmate made with an old sheet of door glass, and two old snowboards.
also wood. it looks awesome.

Anyways, I figured i'd tag 'em on to this thread instead of starting a new one.
From my count of scales, she's likely female, but I suck at counting things without getting distracted. So my count was probably wrong.



Anyone want to venture a guess as to the sex of the snake from the picture?
