Hello!
I last fed my fire, Red, seven days ago(last Monday in America) after two unsuccessful attempts eight days ago and nine days ago, both of the first two in the afternoon. At the time that he usually wakes up, I took him out today and put him in a deli cup with a pinky.
After about ten minutes, I decided to make two cuts: one about a quarter of an inch deep just through the skin behind the neck and another about twice as deep just in front of the ears but with just two or three drops of blood coming out of the deeper one and none out of the first. It has been unsuccessful.
So, I know I could place him in his cage in his deli cup, but this would be his second successful feeding with me and possibly ever. However, that could cause undue stress. If I don't, his early development may be stunted due to a skipping of a meal, as I would definitely prefer to wait about 48 hours, with him slithering around, to try again, if not until Saturday, which I plan on being on his regular feeding day for his first six to eight months. So, would the stress from not moving around throughout his tank as a nocturnal animal or the lack of food be more likely to negatively affect him?
