Meet "Rufus"

Very nice shed! I noticed Rufus is a very close color match to your table. Might be a good hiding spot for him! As far as feeding ... if you wait till Sunday you may need to feed him with extra long tongs! :)
(and leather gloves)

Gail ... LOL !! I wasn't implying anything toward you of course! But a hungry snake will strike ... not wanting it's prey to escape. If that were to happen out in the wild they'd just have to start hunting all over again!

Psst. Rufus! I hear a mouse is due to pass your way in a few days. Be on the lookout. It will be warm, white with a pink tail, and have some shiny metal things on its back end, lol.

Poor little thing! Everything will be okay soon Rufus! .... in the wild snakes eat when they can. Sometimes it goes a bit longer than they want, but they survive!

Very Cute!

Somebody is very happy this morning ...

Rufus sure is a cute little critter! Reminds me of my Chili-Pepper, though Chili has saddles as well as stripes, so I doubt they're related, but they DO look like siblings in color AND in their table manners! :eatsmiley

Very pretty snake! Entertaining thread as well! Thanx for sharing! :p

Lol, Axis, if we go by table manners, they are all at least 1st cousins!

You got me there! But judging by that YouTube video clip, Rufus & Lilly probably have more in common, as Chili will sometimes nudge his food as if trying to politely wake it up and ask if it's OK for him to eat it! In THAT sense, he may even have manners compared to the others, but you're right. ALL of 'em swallow their food WHOLE and without taking a break, thereby chucking the very concept of table manners by the way side!!

As a schizophrenic client once yelled at me, "It AIN'T ROCKET APPLIANCE, man!"

Sore Loser

(Pic 1) Rufus is getting pretty good at this game, but when I took his queen, he got mad and just crawled across the board.

He certainly has not comprehended the Etiquette Part of the game.

(Pic 2) a few of us were talking about how our corn snakes like to crawl through our wet hair after showering, and flicking their tails in our faces. Here Rufus demonstrates his technique.

Looks like Rufus is protecting that pawn pretty well. Not sure how his other pieces are fairing though! But he's a lot farther along than Loopy, who I think will have to start out with Chutes and Ladders!

Lol, Karl. Good one.

Love the pic with Rufus's tail on your face. That's exactly what Mandy does to me, minus the beard!

Gotta wait about 24 more hours

It's just Saturday, but somebody is already looking for a Sunday Morning Mouse

Silly Boy

Rufus jumped completely out of his feeding bin for the mouse today and he ended up in the middle of the coffee table.

I wish I had the video set up for this but I had no idea he was going to be that feisty.
