Millenial Post.....

The Rule Of Thirds.
So, with this post, I've hit 1000 contributions (and I use the term loosely) to the cornsnakes.com forums. I did a little bit of digging around, and they kind of break down as follows:

  • 327 posts with some wiseacre comment;
  • 162 assuring newcomers that your snake's eyes turning blue is a natural, and an "ok" thing;
  • 129 of "nice snake" replies in the photo gallery, of which:
  1. 43 were directed to Dean;
  2. 37 were shared among the "Charlie's Angels" of the forums- Susan, Carol, and Terri (I've yet to be convinced that they're not all the same person - has anyone seen them in a room together?)
  3. 25 were directed to Hurley and Serpwidgets (22 of which were posted in the "Egg Cam" thread...)
  4. 23 were shared among 7 others, and...
  5. 1 to JoeJr. (Ya gotta keep him humored.)
  • 104 posts responding to the cohabitation issue, with 93 of them containing links to prior threads;
  • 82 having to do with my dog;
  • 53 having to do with herps other than corn snakes;
  • 40 having to do with someone else's dog;
  • 31 about some concert I've attended/am about to attend (with 27 of them in response to Mike B);
  • 29 wishing Happy Birthday;
  • 17 awkward flirtatious comments to women young enough to be my daughters - Jynx, hana, BabyBlueEyes, Pumilio, GiantBlueberry, Charmer, and everyone else, please accept my apologies. And please, lift those restraining orders.
  • 10 attempting to convince Gary that Texas is NOT the center of the universe;
  • 9 having to do with an upcoming sporting event;
  • 6 of them actually about MY corn snakes, and finally -
  • 1 post (this one that you're reading), expressing my complete gratitude to those I've befriended here, those whom have taught me and increased my understanding of the hobby, those whom have made me laugh, those whom I've met, and those whom I will eventually meet.
Thanks, everyone. I've had a blast so far, and I'm sure that won't change. :cool:

regards,
jazz

It's been awesome having you around!
Charlie's Angels? Hee hee, I'm flattered to be considered at the same level as Susan and Terri, Thanks!

Congrats man! I was just going to give you a hard time--when you started posting pics of your snakes--that you'd ruin your "wiseacre ratio" if you kept that up! :grin01:

This place wouldn't be half as much fun without you, Dale. I can't count how many times my sanity has been questioned by my co-workers because I was cracking up in my cube' after reading a post of yours. :)

And one more thing: Stay away from my sister! :grin01:

Let's not forget, even though I'm young I have a lot of wisdom behind my eyes. :puke01:

I think you know who made that comment.. :grin01:

Heh... yes well, you know how to make a lil girl feel special Jazz ;) Happy 1000th! Its been a blast to have you here as comic relief!

Congratulations!

What no breakdown on how many were in Yiddish!

And I'm with Dean - except I am explaining to my hubby why I am laughing out loud. He is convinced I really am only in it for the corn porn!

Congratulations on 1000! Dean's researching convents as we speak, but I find wimples sexy, so all's good! :grin01:

Hehe...that number of smart remarks is great. And yes, like many others here I often find myself laughing out loud at some of your posts. Keep 'em coming!

Far out! I think I'll load up the CD player with some Fagan & Becker and toast your incredible sense of humor! :cheers:

Wow, that's quite an inventory! Very interesting (and fun) reading.

Congrats on rolling over the millennial mark :cheers:
