Miscellaneous Feeding Day News

My littlest corn, Calli the lav stripe, who was 6 grams when I got her in February, is up to 10 grams!

Both Calli and Ruby (blood stripe) took a pink out of my hand today for the first time, although Calli dropped hers several times due to having to strike at me after she had it.

Pepper (avalanche stripe) wouldn't take a pink from me- he's spazzy about eating. He in fact usually has to be covered. I uncovered him after he had the pink halfway down, but he threatened to puke it back up, so I covered him again.

Jasper (hypoblood) and Lily (lavblood) are now tied for largest hatchlings at 16 grams. Jasper has had 14 meals after his one regurge now, without incident. I am still cutting his pink in half, although he and Lily are now eating from the largest batch of pinks.

Addy (eastern hoggy) FINALLY appears to be on the mend. Her abcess that I have been battling since September was so small that I couldn't get a Q-tip into it after I picked the scab off. (The last three times there has been solid material in it, that I have squeezed out, and a visual lump). I cleaned with Betadine, packed with antibiotic cream and put her back. It is a HUGE reduction in the size of the cavity. I was worried after the last cleaning that she would have to go back for another round of antibiotic shots, but she is so much better this time.

Congrats on your struggles with your Hoggy! Battles like that sometimes can seem like they aren't going to end but fighting the good fight and staying in there is what counts - and look where it got you! A lot better off. I am glad to hear about the success of your treatments, and thats one lovely picture to boot!

It's good to see they're all doing so well for you, and it sounds like there's a big improvement in Addy's abcess, fingers crossed she's nearly mended. :)

Your little ones are so full of character ;)

I had a bit of fun feeding my little ones on Monday....lol....My little Anery Butter, Jasmin, sprinted out of her feeding tub with her pinky in her mouth and made off under the sofa with it :)) It took three people to lift the sofa, while I managed to snag her and get her back in the tub, the look on her face was priceless and I really wish I'd had my camera to hand, she looked like a dog with a bone...lol. Next time I'll put her in the tub first and add the pinks after :)

Best wishes,
