Mites

Danielle, I have been away but I just wanted to let you know that snake mites will not attack geckos. No worry there.

I think you Lice MD sounds like Nix. I have used Nix with good results and no ill effects to the snakes. The thing I like about it is that is has a residual effect to kill the hatching eggs or new comers.

One thing I like is after the snake is thoroughly coated with olive oil is to toss him with onions and peppers on high heat and serve on a tortilla.

Oh Wade how depressed I was when the server was down- no one to make inappropriate jokes thank god your back and the server is functioning;)

And don't you know snake chili is waaaay better?:)

You know what's a really great book that you might like, Understanding Reptile Parasites.

I have never heard of treating mites daily, only once a week or ten days to coincide with the hatching schedule.

Thanks Nanci maybe I wasn't too clear- using the lice md only one treatment was necessary and no more- he's still a little greasy, lol The lice md has no chemicals, pesticides, or other toxins so its safe even for hatchlings:)

Though I hope no one ever needs it- it worked great:)
