Mixing cornsnakes...??

Someone is adopting out a creamsicle cornsnake and I was wondering if it would be okay to put it in with Candy..my 3 foot creamsicle. Would they get along, or would it change her attitude with us?
Shes in a 55 gallon tank with all the accessories.

Honestly just get another enclosure, they aren't that expensive, and it wont really add substantially to the time of upkeep and care for the animals. I can tell you this as someone who went from 20g of fish tanks to over 200g in different tanks so that fish would only be in with fish they were compatible with. Better safe then sorry! If you were closer I'd take the creamsicle, I do like them!

Yep, sometimes they get along, sometimes they don't. It's not a risk I(and a lot of people) are willing to take. Think of the price of a snake, and then the price of a new viv(sterilite is what, 5 bucks?).

You will end up loosing money, and more importantly, snakes. If you're worried about the cost of a new viv/accesories, then take this into mind. A 90 QT Sterilite(huge!) is 11 bucks at wal mart. Bedding is like 5, heat source or lighting(if you choose, you could do what I do and cut a large square from the top of the sterilite lid, and put metal screen over it) heat. A water bowl is a buck, and a hide you can probably make yourself.

Let's add it up.

Sterilite 90 QT = $11
Substrate = $5
Screen = $3
Clamp light = $6
Pack of 4 40 watt light bulbs = .88 cents
Water Bowl = $1
Hides = $0

Total = $26.88

Average price of a hatchling corn = $50

That being said. Is it worth the risk of losing $23 AND a snake? I don't think so.

Hmm I think I misunderstood the intial post, I was thinking the new snake came with the 55gallon viv.
But something else to mention, if you're not 100% sure of the sexes you're in great danger of unintential breeding, and if theres already no rom for anther viv theres no room for hatchlings.

Not to mention any new snake brought into the home should be quarentined fir at least 30 days anyway.
But then if you did introduce them, how do you know they're both pooping? Who's shedding?Who's regurg is that?
There's a lot of questions you would need to ask yourself if you think risking their health is worth it.

What are the 40 watt lights used for???

OP divide the 55 gal. tank with a piece of plexi glass, works great.
