Motley Sunglow Progression Thread

RowanRR

Delighted long enough.
This is Rowan (my namesake), an 09 Sunglow Motley from Don. He is the most arboreal corn snake I've ever seen. If he's not in shed, and he hasn't just eaten, he spends 99% of his time right under the lid to his tank- much to the dismay of my cat, who can't watch him when he's up there. He's pretty friendly but super squirmy when he's out.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures, my camera is pretty past it's prime...

"Hey! I was hiding under there..."

Thank you everyone! :D

Jessica- I believe he was 17 grams or so when I last weighed him, but he has feasted since then, so it may have changed.

I have a sunglow motley girl she's about 504g and I think she's the prettiest one we have, I'm sure yours will be stunning too!

Awesome- I can't wait for him to get older. Do you have any pictures of your female?

Its not the best pic but here she is. We named her Katy after a very humorous thread on this site.

I almost got an '07 sunglow motley the day that I picked out Reggie. I still regret that I passed her up, if only I had known then what I know now!

Beautiful snake, and thank you for sharing pictures. :)

Thank you! When I was looking for a corn snake, I went and looked through pictures of the different morphs and decided this was what I had to get!

I did the same thing! I had it narrowed down to sunglow motley and okeetee. My husband prefered the look of okeetees and Reggie was labeled as an okeetee, so we took him instead of the sunglow girl. Later (upon joining this forum), I found out I had been duped and Reggie isn't really an okeetee after all... again, if I'd known then what I know now!

In the meantime, I will just watch this progression to get my sunglow fix. :D

Finally, more pictures! He's getting bigger (and better)! I'd say don't tell the others that he's my favorite, but they knew what this was.

It's always great when they use things you bought them.

Very pretty boy. I think the Sun-Mot I just got is a female about two years old. I plan to post pics next week after I pic up a Hypo this weekend and have them both sexed. :D But I did put some pics in my photo album. Here is the link, the first three are my Sun-Mot :D

Thanks for sharing! She is beautiful! I can't wait until mine gets bigger... where did you pick yours up from?

I found him/her on a craigslist add. I asked for more pics and was surprised that it was a Sunglow Motley, the pic the owner posted on the add made it look like a standard Amel. They said they bought it at a petco in WA. I begged my boyfriend to let me have it. It came with it's 20 gal long tank as well for 60 bucks, can't beat that! I love craigslist :D
