MOTLEY TESSERA ???

SickPyth7

Snakes
Ok so what are the members opinions here? I bred Tessera x Snow Stripe and if you have been following my collection history the past couple of days...I've learned that my Tessera is het Snow Stripe.

Just hatched all girls...
Classic, Tessera, Stripe Tessera, Amel Stripe Tessera, Snow Stripe or Snow Stripe Tessera baby not out of egg yet!

and.....does anyone think due to the weird thick saddle pattern that this could be a Motley Tessera? Remember, Dad is het Stripe and Mom is Stripe.

It sure is wild looking. I'm not sure is could be a Tessera/Motley or Motley/Tessera. Wish I knew more to be able to tell you but it is an amazing little snake congrats.

Well, although it looks like a motley, or a motley Tessera, the central stripe is _so_ wide and regular I would be leaning more toward some odd effect Tessera has on the stripe gene, especially since you haven't seen any other motleys in the clutch. It has a sort of cubed look. But the "nice" thing about most Tessera stripes, as opposed to normal stripes, is Tessera makes the stripe carry completely to the tail, unbroken, no vanishing. This, if it is a stripe, is broken, but it doesn't vanish at all...Hmmm. What does Don say? :)

Another thing that supports it being Tessera of some sort is the head pattern is not that of a typical motley or stripe- it is not blurred or "bald."
