moving back home with snake!

Hey, so im moving back to jacksonville from my college in fort myers tomorrow and am taking my snake obviously. I bought an insulated styrofoam cooler and have pillow cases in there too. Should I put bedding and maybe a hide in the bottom of the pillowcases/ cooler. Its all flat so i figured shed like that more if she felt more "at home." Also, its a decent size cooler(probably around 3' by 2') Should I poke holes in the top to make sure she has air throughoutt he trip. It is a 6 hour drive but i have to put her in there early so probably about 7 hours in the cooler. Please let me know, thanks!

You might want to poke a few air holes in there, but that would be entirely up to you. Remember, some snakes are shipped overnight in an even smaller styrofoam insulated box with no air holes. Your little guy should be fine for those few hours.
 
I personally wouldn't put a hide in there, especially if it's a heavy one, it may just shift during the journey, whilst braking or turning a corner, and crush or injure your snake :( You could either put him in a pillow case and tie the top off, or place him in a tupperware type container, with holes for ventilation and a bundle of paper towel for cushioning and then place that in the cooler, this is how I've transported snakes before, with good results :)
