moving snake to new room- need advice

Hi everyone!

I've had my corn for a few months now and everything has been great. But now it looks like I need to move her cage from the kids' playroom/hobby room to our living room next to the TV. We don't exactly blast the TV but do turn it up- and we don't have a lot of bass going on. Is this location okay, and do I need to give her a week to adjust like I did when we first got her?

IMO, anytime you change the environment for them (moving the cage/bin, moving to bigger bin, etc) I think it's a good idea to give them time to adjust. Moreso with babies, since they tend to stress more easily.

Are you planning on putting the cage on top of the tv (or on the same entertainment center)? I don't think just being in the same room as the tv would be that big of a deal, unless you had loud surround sound or something. It's more about the vibrations, than the sound.

No, it would not be touching the TV or entertainment center. It would be on a wall adjacent to the TV. No surround sound, but sometimes the TV is on kinda loud. Probably not by most people's standards. Just to hear the quiet dialog in movies or TV shows. And we play Wii on it. But the kids jump around a fair amount in the room she is in now too. She got used to it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it then. You can keep an eye on her afte ryou move her & if she seems really stressed (even after some time to settle) then I would consider moving her to an area with less traffic/activity.

Thank you! Just wanted to make sure things continue to go as smoothly as they have so far. We are really enjoying her and would hate to do anything to compromise her good health and good attitude! I think I will really enjoy being able to watch her more since she will be in the room we spend the most time in. And my poor daughters need rooms of their own! For OUR good health and good attitude! ;)

I keep juveniles on a wooden table thing that holds the subwoofer for my TV. It can get loud if I'm playing music. I haven't noticed them to be agitated by it...
