whenever i change the aspen my corn goes in his hide and moves all the aspen out and lays on the bare glass, anybody know why he does this? could the aspen not be warm enough for him, my probe is right on the glass and reads 85
 
I think they just like the smooth feeling. Lots of mine do that, too, under their Wine Box hides, whether or not the hide is over the heat.
 
Mine does the same, I even it out and as soon as she enters the viv starts organizing it her way. :p
 
lol, our girl doesn't the opposite, she has one of those half log hides, and she completely stuffs it with bedding.
 
I think they are just trying to go as deep down as they can until the glass stops them. I have a yearling black rat that tends to wad her aspen up in the middle of her tub though, my corns don't really do much but tunnel through it, even my tiny 'classic' tends to just curl up on top and chill sometimes once she has sufficiently aerated the aspen.
