My Butter Motleys

Quiet Tempest

New member
This is Nonahme, the female of my 2007 butter motley corn pair. I took her outside last week for some pictures and she was just fine while I was holding her. I let her perch on a tomato plant and a chair for pics while we were outside and both times, she decided to start lunging out trying to tag anything and anyone nearby. After handling her, I *think* she might be gravid which might explain the moodiness. I did put her with Kuda, the male of the pair, for a couple days because my partner had said he'd like to hatch out a butter motley clutch but then they didn't seem interested in one another and I stopped pairing them. Maybe I missed something. lol We'll see soon enough I guess. I gave her a lay box and will be keeping an eye on her.

And just because I wouldn't want to show one and not the other... This is Kuda. He was a perfect gentleman. :D

I looked her over last night and I'm 99% certain that she's gravid. Guess I'll have a butter motley clutch sometime next month. :)

Congrats! I love butter motleys and was fortunate enough to receive a pair in '08. So beautiful!!!

Very nice! I can't decide if I like butter mots are butter stripes better. They are both so beautiful. I love all the rich yellows.
