My first corn snake

Hi! I'm a new member and a relatively new snake owner. I've been the happy owner of the sweetest blood red lavender corn named Laurence for the past few months. I got him from a snake owner in Monroe, Louisiana that was, unfortunately, having to get rid of her snakes. As soon as I set eyes on him I knew I had to take him home.

Do you know how amazing it is to have a lavender bloodred (plasma) for your very first cornsnake? I remember when they were first produced. The going price was about $2000, if you could get someone to sell one! Then, as always happens, they dropped to $1000. Then maybe $800? Then, Rich Z, the owner of this site, had a half price sale, and it was the first time he offered individual photos of babies. I immediately went to his site, as soon as they were posted, and pored over all the plasmas with a person who had an adult male plasma, who I thought could help me pick the very best one. Finally I chose Lily. She had a 25% upcharge for a lone female, making her I _think_ the most expensive snake I have ever bought. And she turned out amazing, and I love her, and now I bet you could buy a plasma for $100ish. :) Still one of my very favorite morphs!!
