My First Wild Snake!!!!

Taste the Rainbow
Well.. I saw it! Lol. It was really small, about the size of a hatchling corn. It was sunbathing on the path of our nature trail near campus. AJ saw it and our dogs noticed it too. AJ said it was mostly khaki with a black/brown stripe. I couldn't tell because I had my sunglasses on. It ran into the tall grass before I could get it. I was so bummed. I want to see another one now! :D Any herping tips from the pros?

I took some other pictures to show everyone the trail. (And make up for my fail at catching the snake. Lol.)

Thanks for looking! :D

Oh we have some huge water moccasins aka: cotton mouth around here. Than of course your cute typical little garter snakes :):):)

Congratulations on finding a snake! At least you now know where the little guy likes to hang out.

Also, that caterpillar is adorable. Loving his hairstyle.

I want to go out in the trails around my house but I don't like walking and I broke the frame on my mb so i can't drive it till I get it fixed but will give the land around the ponds time to grow up( ducks unlimited just put in 3 ponds along the trail before winter hit so they are just big holes filed with water and mud around them right now)
