Thanks for the advise, are you saying I don't know how to take care of a Corn Snake? If so that would be a HUGE understatement...
:roflmao: You know next to nothing about caring for corn snakes, Mr. Authority. That's not an understatement, or an overstatement; it's simple FACT. Prove me wrong, Mr. Authority.

There's nothing wrong with being a novice hobbyist who's looking for answers. But there's a lot wrong with being a poser who gives feeding advice to others in one thread, and asks the most basic questions in another. You can't just say I'm a mean guy. I've warned you about this kind of thing...

ummmm....yes, yes that would be what most people are saying. You did pretty good with this post, but how come you can click on the little guy with the fire, but hitting the spellcheck button is too complicated?

Ok i think the first two posts to his questions were not even answers! They were just Dave and susang having a go at you lol.All i can say is research and remember not all corn snakes like to strike out of your hand try laying it down on a hide but no where near substrate.

We suspect Cody is/was a troll, and he repeatedly posted things that he knew would get a reaction out of people. You haven't been here very long so you haven't seen the whole story. Don't judge Dave or Susan, they are wonderfully helpful people.

Thanks Snake Dave!

A go at him? I was helping by telling him how to find answers himself. Anyways does it look like Mr. Cody has come back to explain his posts? Well maybe the explanation is that he is at the vet with his snake who "drunk dirty water".

I would just let this thread, and everything else made by Cody on ths forum, die.

I'm sorry Chuck, I resent your your statement and will repeat answers like yours is why more experienced people don't want to give answers. I don't think recommending research or reading the faqs is a bad thing.
Considering many snakes will drag their food or move it putting the prey on a hide no where ear the substrate is a good idea.
I agree the OP hasn't answered this thread but he was on the forum today. Honestly I feel like helping anyone at this point including me is a wasted effort.

No member here is obliged to spoon-feed information to any other. Sometimes a question will just get an answer, but telling someone how to do their own research isn't 'having a go', IMO

I don't think it's always a wasted effort. Nothing wrong with helping people, so I will still try to reply with posts that are helpful - IF the OP asks intelligently and seems for real. I will also still reply to posts with pictures of snakes that are beautiful and to other posts that I think are cool like the recent snow pictures. I will still post pictures of my snakes and reply to discussions about corns where I feel my input adds something. But I have really been feeling the need to cut back on the drama and I think I want to stay away from the obvious trolls, suspected trolls, jumping on the bandwagon when the trolls or people's mistakes in husbandry are pointed out, and while I'm at it any and all political or PC stuff. (And no more voting on polls either lol!)

Umm... I'm not sure what happened to this thread or where it is going right now but... to answer your question about getting your snake to eat pinkies I do have a little bit of advice. If you aren't squeamish, once the pinky has been thawed in the hot water, take a sharp toothpick and poke the middle of it's forehead. I know this sounds sick and I still can't believe that I did it... but it worked. A little bit of brownish colored "brain matter" came out of the very small hole and that was enough to peak my snakes interest. She tasted the air around the pinkie that she was previously completely ignoring and actually ate it within a couple of minutes. I was pleasantly surprised and never had to do this grusome thing again, which is good. She became a regular feeder from then on.

Ok now i'm confused this thread seems to be everyone quote chuck haha.

I wasn't aware he was a troll and i also don't see why people would bother to create a account on cornsnake.com just to troll.

Sorry everyone i only read the first page haha then i read the rest.
