Hey all.. I got this little baby ghost last week and he's been fed the first day he came home ( believe it or not ). Funny thing is he keeps chilling in the coolside where I bought him a little cave rock so he feels VERY secure.. the hot side just has a little log-like hiding spot. Just wondering why he's not regulating his temperature, maybe its because he likes the cave and feels secure? I don't know but I'm getting worried :awcrap:

It could also be that he just prefers it cooler. I'd try and get another hide that's identical to the one he likes, and put it on the warm side. He might not like the half log, because he doesn't feel as secure in it.

Yeah that's what I thought but.. I want to, let's say ( train ) him to come out of his closet to the log-like hiding spot. If it gets to the point where he doesn't budge.. I'll have to buy another cave LOL

Is the warm side to hot? Im sure he goes over there just not when you are looking. Snakes do their moving around when normal people are sleeping. Check the temps make sure they are not to hot, if they are fine then its nothing to worry about. No need to train or anything.

Mine would never use the log hides when they were younger. They're too open and let in too much light for them to feel secure.

Try switching out the log with a paper towel tube and see if he uses that. It's a cheap alternative to buying another hide.
